Inhabitants of the badlands you might see around but probably not interact with.

Badgers, beavers, bison, coyotes, elk, ferrets, mule deer, porcupines, pronghorns, raccoons, red fox, sheep, skunks, snakes, swift fox, tortoises, turtles, weasels, white-tailed deer.

Prey

 What fills bellies.

Birds

Geckos, lizards, snakes.

Seasonal  Prey

Only present during the wet seasons and dependent on the river's water level.

Turtles
Present River-Rise through Frog-River.

Blanding's turtles, false map turtles, ornate box turtles, painted turtles, smooth softshells, snapping turtles, spiny softshells.

Fish
Large fish only present during Fish-River. Smaller fish such as mudminnows and eel
thrive also during River-Rise and Frog-River.

Bass, carp, catfish, chubs, crappie, darters, eel, gars, herrings, madtoms, mooneyes, mudminnows, muskie, perch, salmon, saugeyes, shad, shiners, smelt, stonecats, sunfish, trout.
